Alongside writing for media and organizations, I also write creative works. I have published a book of poetry, The Days You’ve Spent (Tightrope Books, 2010), and in 2006 I won the National One-Act Playwriting Competition for my one-act play The Reading Circle.
In 2014 I received an unexpected review of my poetry book in the Halifax Chronicle Herald from a poet I admire named George Elliott Clarke. That made my month.
I’m currently working on a screenplay, a short story collection, and starting to write a novel. I just finished my second book of poetry.
I volunteer in the literary community by helping to organize the Rowers Pub Reading Series.
